Since 1988, Woodbender has been shaping solid timber with steam, patience and the judgement of skilled hands. Founded in the Cape Winelands, the South African furniture maker transforms ash wood into dining chairs and stools with fluid lines, remarkable strength and an unmistakable lightness.

Each bend follows the grain rather than working against it—a traditional technique reimagined for contemporary interiors. The result is furniture that feels sculptural without becoming precious, equally at ease around a family table, in a restaurant or beside a kitchen counter.
